Hotel Grande Ecoles - our little home in Paris for some of our stay
This hotel is fabulous. Right in the heart of St Germain but you feel like you are much more secluded, you even have your own french doors onto your own little garden, what a rare find for Paris! No TV or mini bar etc - silly things you pay extra for and never use. Great room rates too...yipee!! http://www.hotel-grandes-ecoles.com/
Ok ok I am nice and I let you in on our little Parisian secret
Our courtesy car picking us up from our hotel to take us on the two hour journey to Rheims - the first hour was just to get out of central Paris! And we complain about traffic in Auckland.... Anyway... flash aye!!! ha ha

Ok PIANO BAR. Shibuya. Tokyo. The cutest craziest little bar. A must see when in Tokyo
This is Shuya and Jo. Shuya is one half of 'KYOTO JAZZ MASSIVE' . His club The Room is also a must attend venue in Shibuya Tokyo. Nathan played here first in 2000, then again on this trip. Fab!
This is me after a hard day in the heat pounding the pavement. We are on our way to a much deserved glass of plonk at Piano bar! I thought you should see me wearing the summer samples for Jaimie Spring summer 2010. YES THEY WERE AMAZING!!! Cotton voile Joey Blouse and silk Northern pant. They held up under the strain of the heat and the non glamourous busy schedule. I think they still look pretty fab!!! The clothes however not me. Ha ha

Have any of you been privileged to be a part of a VERY traditional Japanese wedding?????????
Oh my, if you have you will completely understand my bewilderment and awe of the whole situation. Not to mention the brides attire. I love you Midori. Thank you forever for involving me in your special day.

The Beautiful bride
My turn, yes I had the full experience. OF COURSE!!!!
Blonde Geisha
The happy couple - Brent and Midori Nicholas
The Nihonshu ceremony - a favourite of myself and nathan's.
Speaking of Nihonshu, the website www.tokyoliquor.co.nz is a great place to start when looking for the perfect Japanese Sake. They select not only the most loved brands in japan, but also the rare and premium sakes and import them to NZ every month! I must say when I am not drinking my other Fav drop (Taittinger) Nihonshu is my FAVOURITE!!!!!
Japan's most famous actor Toshiro Mifune as wandering Samurai "Sanjuro" in a film of the same name by equally fabled director Akira Kurosawa
"Sanjuro" directly translates as cherry blossom. I love cherry blossoms!!!!
Nathan's 'Sanjuro' impression.
In true Samurai style Mifune's nameless character chose the first thing he saw out the window when asked his name - hence the title of Kurosawa's film. This nameless wandering character with no lord to longer serve was largely copied by directors and actors such as Clint Eastwood, Steven Speilberg and George Lucas - just check out any 70's western!
Ok a little shop stuff now... check out my glorious bag... Hand made in Kyoto by AYANOKOJIROHO. So cool and exclusive to Jaimie Boutique of course! There are many shapes and different cool colours!
Original Samurai
